Monde UFO is Ray Monde and Kris Chau. We are sometimes graced with the presence of our Drummer Joe Lyle.

Ray Monde concepted Monde UFO as a way to synthesize his foundations in Jazz and Punk. In a warehouse on Skid Row while playing in other projects, he started creating what would become the first Monde UFO album 7171. He used the influence of Bossa Nova for the vocal stylings and experimental Sound Healing as a guide to navigate through the saturated Music Industry.

Kris Chau is a visual Artist with no formal musical training. Ray decided adding a newcomer to music would allow Monde UFO to channel a fresh energy into the music and performance. Kris Chau looks to other Art Rock Luminaries such as Brian Eno and Yoko Ono for her guidance. For the live performance she utilizes Qi Gong, sound healing, and folk dances inspired by Shamans and Shrine Maidens.

Joe Lyle is an generational talent. When he doesn’t bless us with his presence he is playing with Chris Cohen, Cass McCombs, Mac Demarco, and has played with Solange as well as many incredible talents of the Music industry. Monde UFO is currently on Fire Records and has released 3 full length Albums. This includes, 7171, Vandalized Statue to be Replaced by Shrine and Flamingo Tower.

They are currently DIY for the USA and represented by Annibale Booking for UK/EU. They have toured extensively in the US, Australia and UK/EU since their debut album 7171. Some of musicians they have played with include The Allah-Las, Acid Mothers Temple, Ulrika Spacek, Hiss Golden Messenger, Hatis Noit, Laena Myers, Sam Blassuci, Eggy, Holy Wave,Yuka Honda, Patrick Shiroishi, Sara Safaie, Dustin Wong, Kern Haug, James Novick, Bondo, and of course some of the Talent on our Fire Record Label.
